Which Necklace Length Suits Me? 40, 45 or 50 cm
Necklace length determines where a chain ends and how visible it is in your look. Just a few centimetres can make a noticeable difference – especially with pendants or when layering several chains.
40 cm necklace length
A chain around 40 cm sits relatively close to the neck on many women. It works well with delicate pendants, clean necklines and looks where the chain should sit clearly above other jewellery.
Depending on neck circumference and body shape, 40 cm can feel quite short. An extension chain is therefore particularly useful.
45 cm necklace length
Around 45 cm is a very versatile length. It generally sits a little lower than a classic short necklace and works well with T-shirts, blouses, knitwear and dresses. Many pendants sit naturally at this height.
50 cm necklace length
At 50 cm, a necklace sits visibly lower. This can work well with deeper necklines, over a roll neck or as a second layer. Larger pendants also benefit from the additional visual space.

How to measure a favourite necklace you already own
Lay the necklace open and straight on a flat surface. Measure from the end of the clasp to the opposite end, excluding the extension chain. You can then compare this measurement with the product information.
